Why I pay for introductions

Because your relationships and connections are invaluable

A recommendation from someone they trust is the reason a business owner takes my call. No ad does that, so I’d rather pay the person who makes the introduction than pay a platform.

You’re not selling anything. You’re introducing someone who builds websites and writes copy to a business that needs one, and you’re paid if it turns into work.

Who to introduce

Anyone who needs a website or better copy

If they run a business and need a website built, a landing page, or copy that sells, they’re a good fit.

Owners with an ugly website

Slow, outdated, or not bringing in enquiries. I design and build websites that load fast and turn visitors into leads.

Founders launching something new

A new business, product or offer that needs a website and words that explain it clearly.

Teams with copy that isn’t converting

Landing pages, websites, blog content or ads that get traffic but don’t get results.

Not sure if they’re a good fit? Ask me and I’ll tell you.

How it works

Three steps, and I handle the rest

Make the introduction

A short email or a LinkedIn message is enough. You don’t need to explain my services or follow up.

They become a client

I talk with them about their project. If we work together, I note that they came from you, so you always get credit for the introduction.

You get paid

You earn 10% of the first $5,000 billed to each client you introduce, up to $500, paid quarterly.

Referral program

Got a question?

What do I get for an introduction?

If the person you introduce becomes a client, you earn 10% of the first $5,000 billed to them. That’s up to $500 per client, and it applies to web design, copywriting and my other services.

Who can I introduce?

Anyone running a business who needs a website built, a landing page, or copy that sells. You don’t need to be a client yourself. If you’re unsure whether someone is a good fit, ask me and I’ll tell you.

How do I make an introduction?

Email me their name and contact details at referral@jefvandegraaf.com. You can also CC both of us in the same email, or send me a message on LinkedIn.

When do I get paid?

Quarterly, on invoices the client has paid. I’ll keep you updated, so you always know when to expect your commission.

Is there a limit to how much I can earn?

There’s no limit on how many people you introduce. Each client you bring in earns you up to $500.

What if they don’t sign up right away?

I keep their details on file indefinitely, because the decision sometimes takes months. Your introduction is noted next to their name in my CRM, and whenever they decide to work with me, you qualify for the commission.

What if the person is already my client or already talking to me?

The program is for new clients who are introduced to me by someone else. If you’re already a client, it doesn’t apply to your own projects or invoices, but you’re welcome to introduce others. If someone was already in touch with me before you introduced us, they aren’t counted as a referral.

How do you handle abuse of the program?

It’s based on trust. Referring yourself, or using the program to negotiate a discount on your own project, is bad faith and not how I run my business. I review referrals to make sure they meet the program’s intent, and misuse is excluded from earning commissions.

Know someone I should talk to?

Email me their details, or send me a message on LinkedIn.
